Forbes has released their list of ‘The World’s Highest-Paid Superstars Of 2015’, which outlines the richest entertainers in the world.
Professional boxers Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are first and second on $300 million and $160 million respectively, Katy Perry is third on $135 million.
One Direction and American TV personality Howard Stern round out the top five.
The list shows the highest-paid entertainers over the past 12 months.
Taylor Swift is eighth with $80 million and Calvin Harris is also in the top 20 list with $66 million, which makes this couple worth $146 million.
Carter’s earned just over $110 million together, with Jay Z coming in at 28 on $56 million and Beyoncé 29 on $54.5 million.
Kim Kardashian West is also on the list, earning $52.5 million in the year placing her at 33.
Breaking into the elite global club, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan tied for the 71st rank with earnings of $33.5 million each.
Coming in at the 76th spot is Akshay Kumar with earnings of $32.5 million. MS Dhoni is ranked 82nd with earnings of $31 million dollars.
Notably one of India’s biggest superstars Shahrukh Khan and no woman celebrity from India made it to the list.
Other celebrities on the list are Gisele Bündchen (46), Scarlett Johansson (65), Johnny Depp (87), Leonardo DiCaprio (89), Jennifer Lopez (95) and Sofía Vergara (97).
On Bachchan, Forbes said the “Bollywood stalwart” has starred in more than 150 movies in his 50-year career.
Forbes noted that Big B bolsters his earnings as the longstanding host of India’s version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (Kaun Banega Crorepati), which aired its eighth season in 2014.
Forbes said Salman is “one of India’s biggest stars” and has appeared in some 80 movies. His ‘Being Human’ clothing line clocked $30 million in 2014 revenue, with proceeds going to his foundation.
Forbes said Akshay is one of Bollywood’s busiest leading men, filming an average of four movies a year. He earns top rupee for roles in 2014 movies such as Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Entertainment.
Perry was at 3rd which took us by surprise but Forbes clarified that it was due to the Prismatic World Tour where she played more than 120 shows in 27 different countries and according to them a large portion of her income comes from overseas market.
