So, 56 years after its creation, the Chandigarh Administration has decided to turn the Capitol Complex into a tourist spot. What makes them think that tourists will be interested in visiting the Secretariat, High Court and all those Sarkaari Babu wali places.
Going by logic, it seems the Administration will soon turn other boring places of Chandigarh also into a major tourist attraction.
Here is a list of places that will be a disaster as a tourist spot.
1. CTU Workshop

What a disaster it would be if a tourist is forced to see CTU workshop as a tourist place in Chandigarh.
2. Sector 42 Lake instead of Sukhna Lake

Sukhna Lake is actually the lifeline of Chandigarh. But in case the Administration decides to make Sector 42 lake as the main lake and a major tourist spot, then everyone knows whom to vote against in the next elections.
3. Shastri Market as the Heritage Rehri Market
Imagine if Shastri Market becomes the Heritage Market of Chandigarh. OK. I accept that it invites a lot of customers, but still the Chandigarh Administration can’t do this to me.
4. Night Food Street will be the high point of night life

When you ask any Chandigarhian about their night life, they tell you that they have NIGHT FOOD STREET. I mean that’s it? The Night Food Street is the most happening night life you have. Chandigarh Administration will surely make this the official night life place of Chandigarh.
