1. Digha
Distance: 178 km
This is the most popular beach near Kolkata, which you must visit with your friends and family. It is a rocky beach that will make you forget all your worries of the city.
2. Bakkhali Tourism
Distance:125 km
A beautiful seaside located in the South 24 Parganas district. It is actually the delta of river Ganges. The beach is seven kilometers long. We bet you didn’t know that!!
3. Sunderbans
Distance: 100 km
If you haven’t seen the Sunderbans then you ain’t seen nothing. This stretch of mangrove forests on the edge of the Arabian Sea, will give you memories for life. The site is actually a UNESCO reserved area.
4. Santiniketan
Distance :163 km
The best time to visit Santiniketan is in December, when the famous PoushMela is held. The town otherwise offer great opportunities to buy original handicrafts in leather, batik and dokra work.
5. Murshidabad
Distance: 236 km
This beautiful down is located on the bank of the River Bhagirathi. It has a long history of Nawabs and Mughals. A great place to visit for travellers, who are in love with our history.
6. Raichak
Distance: 54 km
This small town will manage to invoke nostalgia in you. It is famous for its old fort and has the most beautiful picturesque views all around.
7. Tarapith
Distance: 222 km
The Tarapith temple will make the visit worthwhile. You might be from any background but the history of the place will surely appeal to you. Visit in spring to make the most of it.
8.Bishnupur
Distance: 138 km
It is often nicknamed ‘Mandir Nagari’ due to the large number of temples here. The work on these beautiful temples is outstanding and will take your breath away for sure. If possible visit in the last week of December when the Silpo Mela is held.
