Richa Chadha of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ fame, who is busy shooting for the film ‘Cabaret’, will be a part of a retrospective event in the memory of late actress Smita Patil.
The event, which will be held at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is called ‘Smita – A minor retrospective of a major actress’.

There will be a discussion forum wherein Richa will be speaking along with the other actresses like Nandita Das.
Smita Patil was regarded as “the queen of parallel cinema” in India, having starred in films like ‘Bhumika’, ‘Manthan’, ‘Mirch Masala’, ‘Sadgati’ and ‘Umbratta’ during her short career in the mid-70s to 80s. She died in 1986 when she was only 31, shortly after childbirth.
