What’s in a name, Shakespeare had said centuries back. By the same standards, a nickname would be even more redundant. But ask those who don’t have one what it means to have a nickname. A nickname is a name that is short or long. It can be funny, cute or just plain weird. It can be derived out of your name or created altogether differently. So, while a parent may like to call his child by cute-cuddly names like Dinku, Raju, Sonu, Monty, a lover may just go by sweety, honey or baby!
