And, while Shahid Kapoor has been basking in the glory of his last release Haider having bagged five National Awards, he has also started work on Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab. The movie deals with the drug problem plaguing the state.
Shahid shared a picture of his hair with a streak of cyan on on Instagram captioning it, “adding some colour to the dark and edgy #udtapunjab”.
From growing hair long in Kaminey to going bald for Haider to a blue streak now, Shahid is gradually emerging as a method actor. Is he planning to be the next Aamir Khan? From what we see of him on Instagram, we think he is surely walking on the same path as Aamir. The lad is working really hard for the role, sweating it out in the gym.Â

Udta Punjab, directed by Abhishek Chaubey, is based on drug problem in Punjab. Alia Bhatt plays Shahid’s love interest in the movie. His ex-girlfriend Kareena also has a significant role in the movie.
With numerous awards for Haider and announcement of his marriage to Mira Rajput, Shahid is currently in one of the best phases of his career.
