Over the last couple of days, we all have received a message from WhatsApp reading:
“Messages you send to this chat and calls are now secured with end-to-end encryption. Tap for more info”
But, in case even after the “tap” things are not clear, let us make them clear for you. Firstly, this what it means when they use the word end-to-end encryption.

But in our nation, you would require special licences or permits for any sort of encryption higher than 40 bit. But this law is limited only to the internet service provider, which WhatsApp is obviously not. So, just a futile exercise then???
