On Tuesday, the nation bid a calm and tearful adieu to four-time Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa. The iconic leader who earned a place for herself the status a national stateswoman died of cardiac arrest after battling prolonged illness.
Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and cinema star Rajinikanth joined thousand followers yesterday to pay their last respects to ‘Puratchi Thalaivi’.
As the nation mourned the loss, celebs from Tamil film industry and Bollywood paid tributes to her. Led by Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajith, Dhanush and Shah Rukh Khan shared their heartfelt condolences.

Amidst these condolences, veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s condoling tweet on Jayalalithaa’s death went wrong and it drew huge criticism from the fraternity.
