Vinay Kumar is the Sri Renukaji MLA. He is associated with Indian National Congress. He is son of late Dr. Prem Singh (Former Member & Chief Parliamentary Secretary). He was born on 12 March 1978 at Maina Bagh, Distt. Sirmour. He is married to Smt. Meena Bhushan.

Constituency Represented

Renuka lake is in the Sirmaur district of the state and is 672 m above the sea level. It is the largest lake in Himachal Pradesh, with a circumference of about 3214 m. This lake was named after the Goddess Renuka. It is well connected by the road. Boating is available on the lake. There is also a lion safari and a zoo at Renuka. It is the site of an annual fair held in November.

Political Standing

Vinay Kumar is associated with Indian National Congress. He was elected Sri Renukaji MLA from this Vidhan Sabha seat in the elections held in 2012. He won by a margin of 655 votes. Hirdaya Ram of Bharatiya Janata Party was the trailing candidate.
