Go rafting and we are not suggesting Rishikesh for a change! Rafting is a dangerous activity and extremely thrilling. You must try it once in your lifetime for sure. And those who have done it once, will be itching to do it again. There are so many places for you to try out water rafting, for example, somewhere like American White Water as well as other places could be brilliant for a thrilling adventure. The water, the fast flowing river takes you on a different kind of high. But please do not assume that we will be asking you to pack your bags and start travelling to Rishikesh next. India has some very interesting rafting locations, besides Rishikesh. And before we come to the locations, we would like to educate you that the number next to the location is the grade of difficulty of the location. The greater the number, the greater the risk, so approach accordingly.

Rafting is done on the Beas river. This fantastic stretch starts from Pirdi and goes upto Jhiri. The mountains in the background only add to the charm.

You can challenge yourself to a session of paddling here at 12,000 feet above sea level. The experience will stay wit your for a lifetime. The rafting season begins in late summer. The Nimmo and Padum stretches have been marked for rafting.

It is about an hour’s drive from Shimla and very popular among beginners. There is a long km stretch for beginners here. The stretch from Malgi to Chaba is most thrilling and dangerous.

The Kundalika river offers you a long fourteen kilometer stretch for rafting. The place is close to Mumbai and perfect for beginners. If you want to challenge yourself, then head here.

Water sports are organized in a big way in on the Rangit river. The river offers you a nine km stretch for water rafting. The few high speed descends that only add to the thrill.
