Starting my today’s post with few lines from Sri Asa Di Vaar (Ballad of Hope)
Aapeen ai aap saaji-o aapeen ai rachi-o naa-o (He Himself created himself; He Himself assumed His Name)
Duyee kudrat saajee-ai kar aasan ditho chaa-o (He fashioned the creation; seated with the creation, He beholds it with delight)
Data kartaa aap too thus dayveh karahi pasaa-o (You yourself are the Giver & the Creator; by your pleasure, you bestow your mercy)
Too jaano-ee sabhsai day laisahi jind kavaa-o (You are the knower of all; You give life, and take it away again with a word)
Kar aasan ditho chaa-o. II 1II (Seated within the creation, you behold it with delight) II 1 II
We all know that we are mortals & with less than a wink, our mortality is taken away. As to our religious beliefs, we all pray & visit religious places & practice our belief. When nature is the same for all of us, a grain will remain a grain, leaf will remain a leaf, the landscape doesn’t change because my belief are not same as yours.
Water is same again & so is the air we breathe & in the end we all have to leave this mortal world. So what exactly are we fighting for. Why is so much intolerance in this world? A question we all need to ask each other.
Look at this small beautiful flower. Its stem is prickly but it stands out beautifully. Our environs are not going to change that easily but that doesn’t mean that we are going to be a part of it. We should shine out like this flower and try that people around us also shine like this flower only. If we make a simple rule of being kind to everyone, being respectful to others faith & lifestyle & maybe one day, we will have a beautiful world to live in.
