The mayor of Houston Annise Parker and The City of Houston “commended Mr. Kher on his commitment for providing quality entertainment to the community” through the play “Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha” (MWMNT). The play, directed and written by Rakesh Bedi, has been widely appreciated.
Looking into the contribution of the great actor, Houston has declared August 7th as Anupam Kher Day.
This hit play “Mera Wo Matlab Nahi Tha” revolves around Pritam (Anupam Kher) and Hema (Neena Gupta). The two ex-lovers decide to meet after 35 years to discover the reason behind their separation.
Due to the public demand and maximum appreciation in Houston, this play is going for another screening on September 4th.
