Shimla, June 1: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Wednesday inaugurated the building of Government Senior Secondary School at Bhattakufar near here. The five-storey building has a provision of four laboratories and one examination hall.
Addressing people on this occasion, Virbhadra said it was necessary to give such education to students that provided immediate employment after the completion of education. The government had not only opened a large number of schools and colleges in the state but also recruited staff to ensure quality education in educational institutions, he added.
He asked newly appointed teachers to join duties at the place of first posting immediately otherwise new appointment would be made at that place within a stipulated time. He said newly appointed teachers should voluntarily opt for service in rural and backward areas to serve the people of the state.
He said teaching was the noblest profession capable of creating bright students and prosperous national. He announced an ayurvedic dispensary for Chamiyana panchayat and asked the PWD to construct a boundary wall around the school.
