According to the 2011 Census, Mandi has a population of 192,370. It is one of the largest cities of Himachal Pradesh and is currently the 2nd largest economy in the state next to Kangra. Mandi is the third largest by population next to Shimla and Solan. Mandi has the second highest sex ratio of 1013 females per thousand males.
