A visit to Nepal cannot happen without crossing Kathmandu. It is the heart of Nepal. It has many 17 century temples and the place to visit is Durbar Square. Several buildings in the Square collapsed due to a major earthquake on 25 April 2015. Some of the buildings here were built in the 16th century. The Royal palace and the pagoda style architecture is sure to impress you.

The place is very famous amongst tourists. It is in the east of Kathmandu and many important peaks can be seen from here. You can glance at Choba Bhamre, Langan, Ganesh Himal, Mount Everest and so many more.

The city is close to Kathmandu and is the third largest city. It is also the basecamp to Anapura ascent. You can actually trek for almost a month from here. The city also has three lakes, which will take your breath away.

Lumbini is on the travel list of every Buddhist. This is the birth place of Gautam Buddha, and is a small town in the south western region of Nepal. Pillars that date back to the age of Ashoka’s dynasty 250BC, can be found here. There are many old stupas and monasteries here.

This is a nature reserve, which is very popular amongst professional climbers. The area offers many views of peaks, the highest being 8,000 metres. The grandeur of this place is to be seen to be believed.
