At the beginning of a new week, you start planning for the long day, your job, kids, etc.. Have you ever given a single moment and noticed the birds chirping or the beautiful sunlight coming in through the windows??
Ever been thankful for these beautiful delights God has blessed us with. Don’t fret, we all seem to focus on our routines and not spare a moment. Well, you might try to control every aspect of your life, but there are certain things that manage to spread magic and happiness in our mundane lives.
Let’s appreciate these little blessings and feel grateful for being alive…
1. Be thankful for being alive
You are alive, well and that’s what matters the most at the end of the day.
2. You have the freedom to choose
Be grateful for living in a country that gives you fundamental rights to live a decent life.
3. Your family is safe and well
Just visit or walk through the corridor of a hospital and you will know what I mean.
4. Your roof is not leaking and your panes are not broken
There are many who sleep with water pouring into their house. With this being said, this is where the assistance of roofing companies, for example, may come in handy. As they will be able to repair the damage in the room, this would prevent further damage. The sooner it’s done, the better. Be thankful that you have a comfortable abode to live in. If you do find you have a slight leak in your roof, then it is important that you contact a reliable roofing contractor, such as Ace Roofing Company as soon as you possibly can so that the water doesn’t cause any further damage to your home. But even if you have a house to live in, you should feel thankful for having a roof over your head.
5. You have a bed to sleep in…
Think of the homeless who have nowhere to go after sunset. Be thankful that you have a comfy bed.
6. You are eating three decent meals
At least you don’t earn 100 rupees a day and save 50 for the next day.
7. You take a hot shower every morning
You don’t get water from a borewell or take a bath at the municipality.
8. You are safe and protected
There is no volcano, typhoon or tsunami raging outside your door.
9. You have a phone
It might not be an Apple or a Blackberry. But it works and let’s you speak to your mom everyday.
10. You have a closet full of clothes
…not just two shirts which you need to wash every night.
So, next time you take anything for granted, don’t forget what God has blessed you with. Don’t be sad about the things you don’t have. Rather, focus on the ones you do. Be thankful for the basic necessities and the nature too.
