Anil Kapoor is still basking in the glory of the success that Dil Dhadakne Do has got.
He totally loved the role of Mr Mehra, father of Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in the movie. While Anil was a little apprehensive about his grey haired image, the response to the movie has completely allayed all his doubts.
So, when there were rumours that he could be playing Ranbir Kapoor’s father in Jagga Jasoos, he completely denied them. Anil has clearly stated that if he is getting lead roles, why would he play the role of a dad.
In fact, Anil Kapoor, who is currently in Kuala Lumpur, has totally denied the fact that he was ever approached for the role.
To be directed by Anurag Basu, Jagga Jasoos initially had Govinda playing dad to Ranbir Kapoor. But there are reports that Govinda has opted out of the project. Now, this could be a marketing strategy for publicising the movie as the recent movies of Ranbir have bombed at the box office.
Since Govinda left the movie, the team renewed the old rumours in order to get attention for the movie. They went around spreading the news that Anil was playing Ranbir Kapoor’s dad.
