Now this is a fresh and unique jodi that we are going to see on screen – Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur working together in  Raja Krishna Menon’s action-drama ‘Airlift’ which is set in the 1990s.
Nimrat is most known for her role in the American series Homeland and then for her film ‘The Lunchbox-2013’ opposite Irfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
This movie Airlift will mark her entry into commercial Bollywood cinema.
The subject of the film ‘Airlift’ is very serious as it is based in the backdrop of the Gulf War in 1990 which happened in Kuwait.

Shooting for the movie is nearing its end. Only two-three weeks left and this is what Nimrat Kaur had to say about the film: “Working with Akshay is fantastic. It is a pleasure to work with him. He is such a great guy. It is too much fun when he is around on sets.”
‘Airlift’Â is scheduled for release on 22 January.
