After Jazbaa, Aishwarya Rai is all set to team-up with the Mary Kom director Omung Kumar for her next project in a completely de-glamorized, bespectacled look.
This biopic is based on the life of Sarabjit Singh, who was an Indian convicted of terrorism and spying by a Pakistani court.While in prison in April 2013, he was attacked by fellow inmates and died six days later at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.
Aishwarya Rai who is playing the character of Dalbir Kaur,Sarabjit’s sister, will be seen in completely new avatar.
The actor was recently spotted in her simple look while shooting for the film. Aish was dressed in a brown salwar-kurta and chappals and was also wearing glasses. One of Aishwarya’s fan clubs took to Twitter to reveal her look from the film.
All eyes are set on Omung Kumar’s new venture. This biopic will be shot primarily in Mumbai and will then move on to various cities of Punjab like Amritsar, Malerkotla and Patiala.The last leg of the schedule will be shot in Delhi in the month of February 2016.
The film is slated to release on May 20, 2016 with its premiere scheduled at Cannes Film Festival.
