Punjab and its audiences, be it anywhere in the world, have given this Punjabi artist their love, affection, respect and apnapan. No doubt that Gippy too has worked hard for it but when the hard work started paying off, he kicked the Punjabis right in the face.
Not only this, he had the guts to openly say that he had raised his level above the Punjabi industry and is now a part of Bollywood.
Trust me buddy – You should never evaaaah mess around with your die-hard fans!
Experimentation is good but disasters are bad. It is really sad to see that films which made Gippy an overnight favourite were simply experiments for him.

Did Gippy play smart to release a Bollywood movie before Diljit could debut in one?? Yep I am talking about ‘Udta Punjab’.
If that was the case, then bro you’ve failed miserably because at least Diljit is being true to his projection.
You have made a fool out of yourself even after working on a project for 2 full years. Was there no one who could tell you that this film in Hindi could make you a full-fledged flop in one night and people would go eewww over hearing your name??

Why do we not get people who cherish Punjabi industry as the ultimate stardom and run towards Bollywood for getting a flop, item number or side roles??
See Gurdas Mann ji, and Harbhajan Mann…Were they never approached for Hindi Films??
But they chose to keep their dignity intact and stayed true to the industry that gave them the stardom which is a dream for many.
Let’s also talk about those Punjabi celebs who, in their desperation for Bolly stardom, have actually lost quite a bit of their Punjabi fan front too.
