Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, whose fashion triumphs at the Cannes Film Festival include many an Armani dress, attended the 40th anniversary celebrations of Giorgio Armani’s fashion house in Milan on April 29.
It’s learnt that the 80-year-old Italian designer is believed to have sent a special invitation to the actress.
Last year, Aishwarya shimmered in a delicately beaded Armani Prive dress as she hosted the amfAR gala at Cannes with husband Abhishek. They will chair this year’s gala on May 21, with Natalie Portman, Rosario Dawson, Jake Gyllenhaal, the Coen Brothers and other Hollywood bigwigs.
The Cannes film festival will be held from May 13-24.
