Bollywood singer Labh Janjua, known for his hit songs London Thumakda (Queen, 2014), Dil Kare Chu Che (Singh Is Bliing), Pyar Kar Ke (Pyar Ke Side Effects) and Mahi Mainu (Dev D), was found dead at his residence in Goregaon (Mumbai) on Thursday morning.
Officials of the Bangurnagar police station said that prima facie no foul play has been found but they have sent the body to Bhagwati hospital for post mortem to determine the exact cause of his death.
Fame came to Labh Janjua for his bhangra song ‘Mundiyaan Toh Bach Ke’ from the film Boom, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif.
His tough voice made him the first and the only choice best for a typical Punjabi song in a Bollywood film. His songs were mostly peppy and definitely made you shake your leg every time you heard them.
Khurki is saddened about the death of a great singer like Labh Janjua. He will be missed but kept alive, as he was always there to make your happy moments happier with his songs!
RIP Labh Janjua. Your voice will always remain immortal. It carried the soul of Punjab.
