Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is one of the judges on singing reality show Indian Idol Junior 2, says her desire to song “stagnated” in childhood itself.
“My music teacher taught me Sa re ga ma pa, but did not return after that and that is where my desire to sing stagnated,” Sonakshi said at the launch of Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Junior 2. The show goes on-air from May 30.
When Sonakshi shared this desire, the show’s co-judge Vishal Dadlani backed her singing skills and promised her fans that Sonakshi will sing in his upcoming film ‘Akira’.

The actress, who delivered a memorable performance in “Lootera”, says she wanted to sing in that movie too. She loved the song ‘Sawaar Loon’ and wished having sung it.
At the launch of her forthcoming show, which will bring talented children on the stage, Sonakshi even gave a sample of her singing skills. She did a little rap to the Yo Yo Honey Singh song “Party all night”.
On the film front, the 27-year-old is currently filming “Akira”, which is an action-drama by director A.R. Murugadoss.
