It’s Arpita’s wedding reception in Mandi and the fans of actor Salman Khan in Himachal Pradesh have a little more reason to cheer.
Their favourite Bollywood superstar is arriving in Mandi to attend the wedding reception of his sister Arpita Khan, who has married the grandson of the former Union Minister Pandit Sukhram.
The octogenarian Congress leader from Mandi has called the who’s who of Himachal Pradesh and the neighbouring states for Arpita’s wedding reception.
There could be more than 20,000 guests in the party being hosted at Gymkhana Club in his hometown of Mandi.
Sukhram’s son, Anil Sharma, whose son, Aayush, is the groom, is a Minister in the Virbhadra Singh government.
A grand reception thrown by the groom’s family after marriage is called “Dham” in Himachal. The family has requisitioned a government helicopter to bring the actor from the Chandigarh airport and has given him a state guest status.
The actor, accompanied by his family members and many other Bollywood stars, is likely to arrive in Mandi on Monday afternoon.
