4 Amarnath Cave Temple
State: Jammu & Kashmir
You need to be very strong in the head and tough in the body in order to complete this pilgrimage. This Shiva temple is located at 3888m above sea level and in a very treacherous location. It is one of the toughest pilgrimages in the country.
3 Kartik Swami Temple
State: Uttarakhand
This temple is very popular among the devotees and those who are looking for adventure and thrill. The surroundings and the location of the temple will take your breath away. The temple overlooks a deep valley and it has the mighty Himalayas in the background. The temple is dedicated to Lord Kartikeya.
2 Shikhar Ji Temple
State: Jharkhand
It is one of the most revered sites for the Jains. They believe that 20 Tirthankaras had attained Nirvana at this location. Trekking for almost fifteen miles can only access the temple.
1 Badrinath Temple
State: Uttarakhand
The temple is on the bank of river Alaknanda. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. He is worshipped in the form of a big black stone here.
