Many a times women are seen getting jealous of their counterparts but what happens when there’s one who idolizes another woman and loses herself in becoming like her.
An amalgamation of some latent stories and forgotten emotions will be seen in the latest short film from Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films called Nayantara’s Necklace.
Set in Mumbai, Nayantara’s Necklace explores the friendship between Alka and her new Dubai-returned neighbour Nayantara. As their friendship grows, Alka finds herself wanting to be more like Nayantara. But what Alka doesn’t know is the price that she might have to pay for this obsession of hers.
A 20-minute short featuring Konkana Sen Sharma and Tillotama Shome, made by ad filmmaker Jaydeep Sarkar is inspired from an article in a newspaper about a suburban family in Mumbai.
Gulshan Devaiah will be seen in a special appearance, playing the role of a South Indian IT engineer.
