Mariah Carey performed at the Billboard Music Awards for the first time in 17 years.
Billboard says the 45-year-old has more No. 1 songs – with 18 – on its Hot 100 chart than any other solo artist in the chart’s 56-year history.
The estranged wife of Nick Cannon is currently presiding as the resident artist at one of Las Vegas’ most famous casinos, Caesars Palace.
Mariah marked her big return to the Billboard stage in the most glamorous way both musically and stylistically.
The mother-of-two donned a semi-sheer cleavage-baring glittery gown adorned with crystals and beaded detailing.
Like a costume out of her Vegas residency wardrobe, she sparkled under the bright lights with her long blonde tresses in loose curls.
Mariah belted out her hit single Vision Of Love, honouring the 25th anniversary since she first released it in 1990.
And she finished her comeback with her latest single Infinity, supposedly a heartbreak anthem about her estranged husband Nick.
The singer separated from her husband Nick Cannon last year but said their three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe have been enjoying spending time with her in Las Vegas.
However, she said she has not been serenading the children with her latest single Infinity: ‘They hear it and they start singing, when they don’t like it they don’t sing along and when they like it they do.
The Grammy winner said she hopes fans will flock from all over the world to see her perform each of her 18 number one hits, including Heartbreaker, Dreamlover and Touch My Body, but admitted she doesn’t know why her ardent admirers feel so connected to her.
With tickets already available for concerts up until July 26, Carey said she does not know what her future holds but she will be focusing on taking care of herself.

The show was full of musicians, including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.
And presenters at the show are wide ranging.
Khloe Kardashian and her half-sister Kylie Jenner will hit the stage in an effort to promote their series Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
