Every year Sachin celebrates his daughter Sara’s birthday with the slum people. Rather than throwing a lavish party, Sachin chooses to spend time with the poor and the needy. His concern for the downtrodden has taken him to much greater heights.

Tendulkar changed the whole face of Puttamraju Kandriga, a slum village that he turned into a modern marvel. Gifting the place concrete roads with tiled pavements along with an underground sewage network with a treatment plant, 24-hour water and power supply, a playground and various other benefits. When asked of any such undertaking in future, Sachin’s reply was, we plan to do much more.
