The Indian summer is all set to make a comeback and the number of outdoor events, festivals that you could attend will start dwindling. But we did some serious research and got you a list of festivals you could still attend in April, before the heat sets in.
5 The Aoling Festival of Nagaland
The Konyak hunters celebrate the festival, a tribe which leaves peacefully now and practices agriculture. The festival is held after the sowing season is complete every year.

4 The Mopin Festival of Andhra Pradesh
This is a very famous harvest festival, which is held in the honor of Goddess Mopin. The locals believe that she will drive away the evil spirits and bring them wealth and prosperity. Watch out for the Popir dance, which is performed by young girls on this occasion.

3 The Tulip Festival of Kashmir
If you want to see Kashmir in all its glory, this is the time to be there. The world famous Tulip garden will be blooming and it will be a sight to be seen. Along with the flowers, you also get to take part in cultural programs and buy some local handicrafts too.

2 The Gudi Padwa Shobha of Maharashtra
This the New Year of Maharashtra and takes place all over the state. The place to be is Girgaum. Wear your best attire and get ready to party. Watch out for the procession of women in saris riding bikes and the beautiful floats on display.

1 The Attuvela Mahotsavam Festival of Kerala
Your focus in this festival should be the fully clad elephants, in all their glory. This water carnival should not be missed for anything. The canoes in this festival resemble temples and are dedicated to local deities.
