For all those in the North of Delhi part of India, Shimla is the favourite weekend destination.
Come Friday, you pack your bags and head to the hills.
But a very few people know that Shimla has a long list of eateries that serve lip-smacking Chinese. And don’t worry, they are not located on the Mall Road, so the prices are pretty decent too.
1. Try the garlic noodles at Malook
Malook is one of the oldest Chinese joints in Shimla. Run by a Sikh gentleman, the Chinese is Indianised, but utterly delicious.
2. Chicken wings and soup at Aunty’s
If you have grown up in Shimla, then you know all about Aunty’s dhaba. Now run by the original Aunty’s daughter-in-law, the joint is always full. So go only if you are ready to wait.
3. Pizza.com or Deepak Bhojnalaya
The place has gone through a recent renovation and is buzzing with youngsters at all times. Try their Chinese with one of their very popular milkshakes or mocktail.
4. Chung Fa Dhaba
We all have been going to Uncle Anthony since teenage. The momos and chicken noodle soup here is to die for.
5. China Town
Another very old joint next to the Shiv Mandir in middle bazaar. Stop for a warm and yummy Chinese meal.
