Shimla, May 25: The BJP on Wednesday convened a meeting of Mandi parliamentary constituency office-bearers to chalk out a strategy for Tridev Sammelan, to be held in June, in which Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and top leadership of the state BJP will take part.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Jai Ram Thakur, in-charge of Mandi parliamentary constituency, which was attended by Mandi MP Ramswaroop Sharma, BJP MLAs from Kullu and Mandi and some other organisational office bearers.
Talking to The Tribune here today, Jai Ram Thakur said the date of the convention was not yet fixed, which will be organised in Kullu in the second week of June. According to sources, the discussion was held to make proper arrangements for the success of the convention, in which BJP top leadership would make a strategy to ensure the party’s win in the Assembly elections due in November.
“BJP workers holding posts at the block and district levels were asked to ensure their presence during the convention and provide the details as to what they did to strengthen the party at the grassroots level,” the sources said.
