Shimla, Aug 1: Two people were killed and 11 others were injured when the Sumo vehicle they were travelling in fell into a gorge near Bhattakufar, 16 km from here, on Monday night.The occupants of the vehicle were returning to Mashobra after attending a marriage when the tragedy struck on the Bhattakufar-Jwala temple link road.
The deceased were identified as Pratap and Guddi. The injured had been admitted to IGMC, Shimla, police said.
The police reached the spot and the injured were rescued with the help of locals.As per the preliminary investigation, the driver lost control over the vehicle which was overloaded.
Most of the occupants hailed from Mashobra and adjoining villages, sources added.
