Shimla, June 6: The people of Shimla would punish the Congress and the CPM for failing to supply water and jaundice outbreak, said BJP state spokesperson Rajiv Bindal.
“Thousands of residents were taken ill and 18 people lost their lives due to jaundice outbreak. But the a state government was neither serious nor sensitive on the issue and it was the BJP, which raised its voice in the Vidhan Sabha,” he said, while addressing mediapersons yesterday.
BJP vice-president Ganesh Dutt said Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would visit Solan and Una during his two-day visit to Himachal.
Pradhan would launch the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana from Thodo Ground in Solan on June 8 and lay the foundation stone of Rs500 crore oil terminal in Pekhu Bela village in Una on June 9, he said.
