Shimla, Aug 4: All India Congress Committee General Secretary Sushil Kumar Shinde said on Monday that the party would not announce a chief ministerial candidate until after this year’s assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh.
Shine, who is the person in charge of the party’s affairs in the state, said that the party would fight the elections under a collective leadership. He also admitted to a “lack of coordination” between the party and the state government under Congress chief minister Virbhadra Singh, but said that the Singh will sit in the party’s office every week so he could coordinate with state party president Sukhwinder Singh.The party will also consult district Congress units before deciding on candidates for assembly elections.
