Shimla, June 1: The newly appointed BJP in charge of the state Mangal Pandey has exhorted the faction-ridden BJP workers in all four Assembly segments Nurpur, Jawali, Indora and Fatehpur in Nurpur organizational district to sink their differences and strengthen the party at grassroot level so that it could win the forthcoming Assembly elections with absolute majority.
Addressing a meeting of party workers of four Assembly constituencies at Kehrian near Jawali, Pandey said the party cadre was the backbone of the BJP and everyone was responsible for its strengthening. He advised party workers to generate mass awareness about pro-people policies and programmes of the Modi government in their areas and connect youths with BJP ideology.
The BJP in these Assembly constituencies in lower Kangra district is plagued with infighting and factionalism and had failed to win even single seat during the last Assembly elections.Taking a dig at Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Pandey alleged that his involvement into corruption cases and his bailing out in the CBI court in corruption case had dishonored the hill state.
He said the Chief Minister was more bothered himself and his family members and remained busy in appearing in courts during the past four-and-a-half years. He alleged that the Congress was mother of corruption in the country.Kangra Lok Sabha MP Shanta Kumar said the BJP had emerged the biggest political party due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
