Have you seen the low quality, leaked footage of this upcoming movie too?
Warner Brothers backed out of its plan to keep the Comic-Con trailer exclusive to convention’s massive Hall H, and released it officially through YouTube.
You can watch Suicide Squad Trailer, now in clear high definition, below:
The Suicide Squad trailer, shown at San Diego Comic-Con, shows the first footage of the movie, directed and written by David Ayer.
After the trailer got leaked, this is what Sue Kroll, President Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures, had to say: “Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today, we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision, as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”
Suicide Squad is one of the 10 movies based on DC Comics characters that Warner Bros. has planned to hit theatres by 2020.
Warner announced its extended comic book movie slate, which also includes films based on Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, the Green Lantern Corps and Aquaman, last October.
