We have been talking about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s upcoming flick Sarbjit and have also told you about her character in the film. She will be seen as Sarbjit’s sister, Daljeet Kaur in this biopic.
Sarbjit is based on the life of an Indian villager who unknowingly crossed over from Punjab into Pakistani and was later arrested by Pak authorities and convicted for spying.

It is a story of a sister’s valiant fight for her brother’s release from Pakistani prison. Aishwarya plays a village girl in Punjab and song-and-dance is as much part of their life, as it is for a Hindi film.
The first song of Sarbjit is being shot in Mumbai and is called Tuglak Tuglak Tun. It is an energetic bhangra song similar to Nagada Nagada from Jab We Met. The song will be choreographed by Vishnu Deva and features Richa Chadha and Randeep Hooda doing bhangra along with Aishwarya.
Speaking about the Punjabi bhangra number Omung Kumar said, “Sarbjit is a biopic but made in a different way. Sarbjit’s story spans over 23 years. Before he disappeared, his life was full of fun and festivity. While the seriousness has to be there, I am not making a boring film. I want people to cry, laugh and go through all the emotions. Twenty-three years is a long time. I do everything in films larger-than-life so even my way of showing Punjab will be bigger. This song is a full-on Punjabi dhamaal number.”
