OMG! North India’s Leading Ad Agency’s Website Hacked By Pakistan

0

India vs Pakistan is THE one thing that catches your attention immediately. Be it historical reasons, infiltration or any other reason, the two nations are always at loggerheads. In recent times, hacking has come to become another tool in this cold war between the two countries. Pakistani hackers attack Indian sites and Indian hackers return the favour.

While these have largely been restricted to government websites, there is one website that has found itself stuck in the middle of this cyber war. Mantrin, one of the leading advertising agencies of North India, woke up on Thursday morning to find its website mantrin.com showing grievous signs of the visit of The Alien. But this Alien wasn’t an alien alien, but an Alien with an identity of being from the friendly neighbourhood country – Pakistan.

What happened with mantrin.com, a 15-year-old ad agency, was shocking as the website has backend data of many clients and other sensitive matter.

Team Mantrin is trying to revive the website.

On Tuesday, Pakistan Haxors Crew hacked websites of prominent universities of India. Among the universities hacked were websites of Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, as well as IIT Delhi and Varanasi. These hacking attempts were claimed to be a retaliation against the Pakistan Railways website hacking on Monday.

No data was deleted from the websites thus hacked – only a message flashed on the screen.

“Do you know what your so-called hero’s (soldiers) are doing in Kashmir? Do you know they are killing many innocent people in Kashmir?” the message stated across the hacked websites as well as two videos of alleged brutalities by Indian soldiers in Kashmir.

First popular hacking incident was in case of Kerala govt.’s website being hacked. In retaliation, Indians hacked almost 227 Pakistani websites. Much later in 2016, another Pakistani hacker tapped into India’s National Green Tribunal’s website. His act was claimed to be a retaliation of the then surgical strikes by the Indian Army.

The scary part is that attacks of such nature are escalating each day.
