The movie had got a fantastic opening by raking in ₹14.3 crore on the first day. This, by any margin, is a huge achievement as the film does not have an A-list actor in the cast. In the first weekend, it made ₹46.35 crore and by the end of its first week, it collected ₹71.78 crore.

The movie is a sequel to ABCD. The first instalment did not make it big in theatres, but when premiered on TV, it got an overwhelming response.
ABCD 2 is a 3D dance film directed by Remo d’Souza. Apart from Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva, Lauren Gottlieb and Dharmesh Yelande are also in the cast. It has Sachin-Jigar’s music, Vijay Arora’s cinematography and Mana Sagar’s editing.
